What is the blood group-based diet and what is the difference between it and the ROLE program?
The ROLE program has nothing to do with the blood group-based diet. Though the latter is a step towards understanding individuality, it divides people into four groups only. The ROLE program treats each person individually, without categorising people into any one group.
Can we test the blood of an infant?
It is no use testing the blood of an infant. During the lactation period the mother’s antibodies are active in the infant’s blood. Therefore it is the mother’s food that needs testing and correction. And we recommend that the mother apply to the ROLE clinic for recommendations. Experience proves that correction of the mother’s food may be very positive for the child. But it is better to apply even before giving birth.
If I decide to lose weight, how soon will the result be evident?
Being overweight is usually caused by excessive fluid retention in tissues. This part of being overweight will be quickly lost during the first weeks. In some cases (being grossly overweight) even 15–20 kg of weight may be lost quickly. After 1.5–2 months the weight reduction will be slower, with adaptation periods.
How long have you been doing it and what are the results?
In Estonia we have been using the method for 4–5 years and the results are very good. The number of patients is increasing, where new people come following the recommendations of current patients.
What is the difference between your clinic and other similar clinics?
On the Estonian market the remote blood testing for food compatibility is popular – a blood sample is sent to a foreign lab for analysis. The patient receives a written answer but there is no consultation, control or monitoring of the situation. And the aim of the test is different – allergist, dermatologist, paediatricians and other specialists search for and exclude other types of food allergens.
In Estonia today only the ROLE clinic has certified and skilled specialists in latent food intolerance.
How many products are tested? Why do you test these specific products?
Today we are able to test 111 basic products (see the list). The list is extended by derivatives of the basic product, e.g. if olives are allowed for consumption, then olive oil is allowed too; if malt, brewer’s yeast and barley are allowed, so is beer. The test was compiled in the US on the basis of the list of the most popular food products. No national Estonian test exists yet.
What is included in the price?
The price of the service includes testing, medical processing of the test results with special software, development of individual nutrition program for the following period (three months), detailed training-consultation of a specialist, additional testing if required and availability of our physician for consultation during the whole period. During the three months of the program another corrective consultation is available.
If I lose weight, how long will the effect continue?
The effect is mainly due to purification of the body of the pathological “waste” accumulated during your life. Since the weight is lost not by reducing muscle bulk or losing resources of the body, the loss is easy and stable. But the achievements can also be lost afterwards.
When is testing pointless or when should it be postponed?
Often the medicines that contain sex hormones or steroid hormones are opposed to changes in the body. It is no use sampling blood during a religious fast or certain diets, after alcohol consumption or an excessive meal. The day before testing shall be an ordinary day. It is also pointless to take a blood sample soon after taking anti-allergy medicine or antibiotics, as the result of the test will be biased. The test shall be postponed during an acute infection.

May I take alcohol after the testing?
If you want to achieve a really serious effect, you have to create the most comfortable conditions for your body. You have to give up alcohol for at least two or three months. Then we will help you to choose a “suitable” liquor for you, because this product may also cause an immune reaction.
